E2006.4 9MM Scissors Hook Single Action Forceps
The Hook Scissor is arguably the oldest working Laparoscopic Scissor. Early Gynecologic Laparoscopists found that the heavy tubular structures found in the female pelvis tended to slip out the ends of other scissors as the tissue was cut. The hook scissor was developed to reach around a structure and entrap it as it was cut. It was also designed as a single action device as this creates a greater force to be exerted on tough tissue. Today it is also used in Lap Chole to cut the Cystic Duct Artery as well as cutting suture.
